高碑店市簡介
高碑店市下轄 4 鄉(xiāng) 5 鎮(zhèn) 5 個辦事處和一個省級經(jīng)濟開發(fā)區(qū)，總面積 672 平方公里，人口 59 萬，是區(qū)域性經(jīng)濟、 商貿(mào)中心，是 “全國發(fā)展改革試點市” 、“中國爐具之鄉(xiāng)”，連續(xù)六年被中科院城市發(fā)展研究中心評為 “最具投資潛力中小城市百強”，連續(xù)四年被評為 “中國最具區(qū)域帶動力中小城市百強”。
地理位置優(yōu)越， 交通十分便利。
高碑店處于京、 津、保三角腹地，是北京和保定之間的節(jié)點城市。107 國道、 京廣鐵路、 京港澳高速公路、京武高鐵、112 國道 (京南保北唯一東西向國道)、高固公路“四縱二橫” 貫穿交匯;廊涿高速公路、京昆高速公路出口距高碑店城區(qū)不足 10 公里;京武高鐵客運專線高碑店站即將建成，年內(nèi)通車，前往北京僅需 19 分鐘。

一是農(nóng)業(yè)基礎(chǔ)好。高碑店市是國家商品糧基地、 國家基本農(nóng)田保護示范區(qū)。二是工業(yè)發(fā)展快。工業(yè)增加值占到全市經(jīng)濟總量的 50%以上， 汽車、 節(jié)能門窗、 新能源、 食品飲品、 機械制造、箱包加工等產(chǎn)業(yè)是帶動縣域經(jīng)濟發(fā)展的主要力量。三是民營經(jīng)濟總量大，增加值占 GDP 總量的 85%。以上， 民營經(jīng)濟總量在全省縣市中位居前列。四是商貿(mào)流通繁榮。市區(qū)有大型商場 11 座，在保北各縣市數(shù)量最多; 有保北地區(qū)最大的列車貨場， 是淶水、 易縣、 定興等周邊縣市群眾出行中轉(zhuǎn)地和保北農(nóng)副產(chǎn)品的批發(fā)集散中心。

Advantageous Geographical Location and Highly-connected Transportation
Gaobeidian is located at the central area of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and comes as a nodecity between Beijing and Baoding.“Four north-south highways, expressways and railwaysand two east-west highways”run through and intersect here in Gaobeidian, including No.107 National Highway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Express-way, Beijing-Wuhan High-speed Railway,No. 112 National Highway (only east west Na-tional Highway in the region in the south of Beijing and north of Baoding), Gaobeidian-Gu’an Highway. The exit of Langfang-Zhuozhou Expressway and Beijing-Kunming Express-way is less than 10km away from the city proper and the Station of Gaobeidian of Bei-jing-Wuhan High-speed Railway will be finished and open to traffic within the year, offer-ing a 19-minute trip to Beijing.
Evident Economic Features and Clear-cut Industrial Advantages
To begin with, Gaobeidian enjoys a sound agricultural foundation as the National Base for Commodity Grain and National Basic Farmland Demonstration Area. Second, it witnesses rapid industrial development. The industrial added-value makes up over 50% of the total economic aggregate of the city, with automobile, energy-saving window and door, new energy, food and drink, machinery manufacturing, luggage processing, among other indus- tries as the major force for driving county-wise economic development. Third, the total volume of private economy accounts for over 85% of total GDP, ranking the first among counties in Hebei Province. Fourth, business and trade remain buoyant and flourishing here. There are 11 large shopping malls in Gaobeidian, ranking top among counties in the north of Baoding. The largest freight yard of train in north Boding is located here. As a result,Gaobeidian is the transit depot of residents in surrounding counties such as Laishui, Yixian and Dingxing and a wholesale and distribution center for agricultural and sideline products in the north of Baoding.
Rapid Urbanization Development and Coordinated Progress in Social Pro-grams
The planned land use area of the city proper is 68 square kilometers with full-fledged in-frastructures of various kinds up and running. The total mileage of road in the city proper stands at 130km. Gaobeidian fetches three first positions in Hebei Province: the first coun- ty-level botanic garden, the first county (city) making available digital television, the first county (city) completing Shaanxi to Beijing Natural Gas Pipeline Project. It is selected as an excellent city by the Ministry of National Housing and Urban-Rural Development and as Hebei Garden City by the People’ s Government of Hebei Province. In addition, it is the Na- tional Model City in Supporting Army and Government, National Outstanding Cultural County, National Outstanding Sports County and National Outstanding County in Sci-tech Advancement.
